Michelle paints everything from floors to ceilings and anything in between.
Her training as a muralist and decorative painter looks like this…. In college she studied set painting techniques and after receiving her BFA in theater, she came back to Denver to study fine art at both the Art Student’s League and the University of Colorado. This is when she started to paint walls; beginning with a few walls in her parent’s house and then some for a friend. Michelle did all this while working on and off at the Denver Center Theater Company. She was meeting contractors who ‘knew paint’ and started to learn the tricks of the trade.
This was over ten years ago. Since then Michelle Frances has grown immensely as an artist. She has transformed countless spaces with her murals and decorative paint techniques. She has painted tables, cabinets, ceilings, and walls with care and precision. Her fine art canvases (portraits, abstracts, landscapes etc.) are hanging in homes around the county. No job is impossible and ‘crazy ideas’ (commonplace in theater are considered unique challenges and are embraced with open arms and skilled hands.
